Step1 Revision and lead-in
1、T: Do you often help your parents at home ? (播放灰姑娘视频,并通过师生之间的自由对话导入新课。) S1: Yes.
T: What do you usually do to help your parents ?
S1:I often wash the clothes ……
T: Do you often do some housework at home ? Today we are going to learn to do chores . (板书do chores 并解释)
I hope you can learn it carefully and help your parents at home, Ok?
设计分析:采用复习导入法导课,在复习上单元所学重点交际用语的基础上,通过师生自由问答,自然导入新课。
2、Warming up
The teacher shows a picture of Peter, and introduces Peter’s dirty room to the Ss.(with pictures)
Questions : a. Is Peter a clean child?
b. Do you have such a dirty room like Peter’s?
c. What kind of housework can you do?
Step 2 Presentation
1. The teacher lists Ss’ answers. And finish 1a.
2.Learn these phrases: do chores, do the dishes, make the bed, take out the rubbish, fold the clothes, sweep the floor, clean the living room.
3.The teacher asks Ss to help clean the dirty room of Peter with the structure “Could you please…?”
4.Encourage Ss to try to answer the questions in different ways.(OK! / Yes, sure./ No problem/ Of course.)
5.Give the some sentences, ask Ss to conclude the structure.
6.Use the structure to do practice.
eg.Could you please take out the rubbish? Sure. Yes, sure./ No problem/ Of course.) / Sorry, I can’t. I have to finish homework first.
Step 3 Listening
1b Listen. Who will do these chores? Check (√) Peter’s mother or Peter.
